Overview
Blood pressure medications can drop pressure dangerously in pets when overdosed. Risk depends heavily on tablet strength, pet size, and whether other meds (diuretics) were also ingested.
Symptoms
Weakness, stumbling, vomiting, pink/gums pale, collapse
Typical onset
30 minutes–6 hours
Formulations
Combination pills may add a diuretic (“HCTZ”), increasing risk.
What to do
Contact a veterinarian urgently for ingestion guidance — especially if multiple tablets.
