Prevention and longevity, same elite standard
What a wellness visit includes
We perform a thorough nose-to-tail exam tailored to your pet’s species, age, and lifestyle. We discuss nutrition, exercise, behavior, dental health, and parasite risks in Utah’s climate and terrain—ticks, fleas, heartworm prevention, and what makes sense for dogs and cats who hike, travel, or stay mostly indoors.
Vaccination schedules are not one-size-fits-all. We recommend core vaccines for most pets and non-core vaccines when lifestyle and regional risk justify them.
Screening tests that match your pet’s stage of life
Young animals may need parasite checks and growth monitoring. Adults benefit from periodic lab screening as risks shift. Seniors often need closer attention to organ function, mobility, and pain—sometimes before obvious symptoms appear at home.
Continuity with the rest of our hospital
Because the same medical team supports wellness and urgent care, your pet’s records and our familiarity with your family carry through. That continuity matters when the unexpected happens—and it helps us give advice that fits how you actually live with your pet in the Salt Lake Valley.
Common questions
How often should my pet have a wellness exam?
Most adult dogs and cats benefit from annual exams; seniors and pets with chronic issues may need more frequent visits. We will recommend an interval based on age and health.
Do you offer puppy and kitten visits?
Yes. Young pets need a series of visits for vaccines, parasite control, and growth—we will outline a schedule for your new family member.
