Ultrasound that delivers clearer answers
Why we use ultrasound
Many important problems do not sit on the surface: fluid in the abdomen, enlarged organs, bladder stones, masses, and complications of pregnancy. Ultrasound is non-invasive, does not use ionizing radiation, and pairs naturally with blood work and X-rays for a fuller picture.
In urgent cases, ultrasound can help us decide whether surgery is indicated, whether medical management is reasonable first, or whether referral is the next step—all with less guesswork.
What to expect during the scan
Most abdominal ultrasounds are performed with your pet gently restrained; some patients benefit from light sedation to reduce stress and improve image quality. We will explain if sedation is recommended and how we keep your pet comfortable.
Serving pet owners across the valley
Pet families visit us from Herriman, Riverton, South Jordan, West Jordan, Bluffdale, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, and beyond when they need timely imaging and a team that can interpret findings in context—not a report in isolation.
Common questions
Will my pet need to be shaved?
We often clip a small area of fur to improve contact with the probe and image quality. We keep shaving as limited as reasonably possible.
Is ultrasound safe?
Diagnostic ultrasound uses sound waves, not radiation. It is commonly used in veterinary medicine for pregnancy evaluation and organ assessment.
