Stabilization and monitoring when your pet needs to stay
When hospitalization is the right choice
Hospitalization helps when your pet needs ongoing treatment, cannot safely hydrate or eat at home yet, or requires close monitoring after a crisis or procedure. We watch vitals, pain level, appetite, and mentation so we can adjust therapy as your pet responds.
Families travel to us from across the southwest Salt Lake Valley because we combine attentive nursing care with clear communication—you should understand what we are doing and what we are watching for overnight or through the day.
Stabilization before transfer
If your pet may need a 24-hour specialty center or a procedure we do not offer on site, stabilization can bridge the gap: fluids, oxygen support when appropriate, pain control, and diagnostics that inform the receiving hospital.
Referrals and continuity
When advanced specialty care is indicated, we work with our referral network to coordinate records and timing. Our priority is the safest path for your pet—not unnecessary delay, and not a rushed discharge before your pet is ready.
Common questions
Can I visit while my pet is hospitalized?
Visitation depends on your pet’s condition and our medical team’s assessment. Ask our staff what is appropriate for your pet’s stability and stress level.
How long will my pet need to stay?
Length of stay depends on diagnosis, response to treatment, and whether we are stabilizing for transfer. We will give you an ongoing estimate as we learn more.
