Overview

Glow stick liquid (dibutyl phthalate) has an intensely bitter taste that causes dramatic drooling and mouth pawing but usually limited systemic toxicity. Pets may appear distressed immediately after biting into glow jewelry or toys. Vomiting can occur from irritation and bad taste response. Most cases improve quickly after oral rinsing and supportive care at home.
